Situated in the hills above the Willamette Valley, the Helvetia Lavender Farm field nestles in among the beautiful Noble Firs of the family Christmas Tree Farm (www.helvetiachristmastreefarm.com). Our farm is a breath of fresh air and beauty, filled with flowers, whimsical surprises, and Mutley, the friendly Saint Bernard.

Our mature lavender field of Grosso, Super, Alba (white) and Provence lavender intermedias and Royal Velvet, angustifolia or English lavender was planted in 2004. Another field planted in 2006 features 10 more varieties of Lavender Angustifolia which will allow visitors to observe the special qualities of each type. This spring (2008) we are planting a new field with 400 Royal Velvet, especially for lavender essential oil production. In addition, our landscape demonstrates the wonderful attributes of lavender with over 130 plants of different varieties!

Helvetia Lavender Farm has grown out of our love for Lavender, a desire to share the wonderful relaxing experience of cutting and using lavender, as well as a commitment to help people in developing countries. All the profits from our festival help to fund the work of Good Samaritan Ministries supporting children and orphans in thirty-four countries. (www.goodsamaritanministries.org).

Helvetia, a historic Swiss settled area 30 minutes west of Portland, Is a fantastically beautifully countryside of rolling hills with views of Mt. Hood in the distance, overlooking the scenic Willamette Valley. The Pacific Crest Alpaca farm with several hundred purebred alpacas and the Helvetia Winery are both adjacent neighbors. Helvetia Tavern of the famous hamburgers is a nearby landmark.
